In the entries prior to the 1960s, we have researched the first and birth surnames (“maiden names”) of married women whose names were obscured by their husband’s names when they weren’t included in the obituary or death notice. The surnames are provided in parentheses. “Mrs.” Following the name indicates that the married woman’s birth surname was not found. Death dates are included only if provided in the original notice.
